At St Katherine's School & Nursery we believe that learning is a journey and as such our curriculum is designed to be broad, balanced, inspiring and purposeful. It enables teachers to have high expectations of our learners so that they are well-prepared for the next stage in their learning journey and the future beyond.

Our curriculum provides opportunities to develop independent learning skills and broadens children’s experiences to enable them to become well-rounded individuals. The curriculum is progressive and skills are built upon year-on-year; it is flexible enough to ensure that it evolves to remain relevant and stimulating.

We recognise every child is unique and teachers ensure the children are inspired and provide scaffolding in lessons to allow all children to fully access the curriculum.

We want our children to have a thirst for learning; and through high levels of enjoyment, engagement and fun, children leave us with independent learning skills and lifelong happy memories.
