We provide opportunities for all children starting Reception to meet their new teachers and teaching assistants before they begin school in September. During Term 6 the Reception Teachers will visit the children who will be in their class to get to know them. The Early Years Leader will also contact children's existing nursery settings to begin the transition process. We also provide Stay 'n' Play and Story Time sessions which parents sign up to after our Information Evening event.

The children who attend St Katherine's Nursery are used to wearing our uniform, seeing Reception staff and moving around the school regularly, so they usually find this transition fairly easy.

All admissions into Primary School are dealt with by the Local Authority, and they adhere to specific entry criteria.

Attending St Katherine's Nursery will not guarantee a place in St Katherine's School & Nursery.
